The blues on Sunday is the most hidden gem in all of Oakland. Out of this world music in an old school dive setting with the friendliest of folks. Bonus points for always letting me dance around in my roller skates!

I love how they make my Cranberry & coke beverage. Love the music, the D.J. & the bartenders are very attentive and fun. Everyone has as a great time. I have been coming there for years. Thank ☺️ You all staff and owner for your hospitality.

If you are looking for an old bar with great music and a fun atmosphere this is the place to be. I visited the bar clubs may10th 2025. There was only one bar tender. We had to wait 15 minutes to be served. I don’t blame the bar tender it was a staffing problem. Lastly me and my friends came to the same conclusion. This is now a lesbian bar.

Great bar, Great staff, reasonable prices and down home blues. I had a ball. There was a racist, white, Karen inside of the bar who had a little bit too much to drink and was being racist saying that she doesn't like black people. Literally everyone else in the bar was black. She even struck a black man in the face, outside of the bar and the staff handled it flawlessly and peacefully. I was very impressed. Then I found out that there was an extra hundred dollar charge take from my card as a tip that I didn't authorized. I got my money back "in cash". So someone was tryna be slick. So just don't let them hold on to your card, pay in cash and have a good time.

On Thursday Nights they have Karoke and I love going there the drinks are reasonably priced

Love miss creole lady who cooked them neck bones, macaroni, rice,corn bread,string beans delicious, the band marvelous job...bartenders Bravo like the bald head one..see yall soon again..

Went for the first time on Friday night 3/14/2025. Had a blast. DJ is good. Music was wide ranged in generations. R and B , hip hop, old school. Drinks were great and bar tenders talented. People were cool. Mostly old school but a good percent of younger people. Thanks for the love Lakeside. ❤️ see you again
